Before we sent our son to A-Star Tutoring, he was always at the lower end of the scale on both maths and English, getting around 30% but since he started at A-Star Tutoring he has escalated, and is at the top end, consistently getting around 80% for these subjects. He has not only come out of his shell as his confidence has been boosted, but we notice everything has improved - he has a better use of language when he is talking and his maths progress has been dramatic. Thanks to A-Star Tutoring Nathan is on target to achieving either a B+ or even higher for his maths and we know that it's all down to the extra tuition he's had. Initially Aaron was struggling with his English but after attending A-Star Tutoring we saw his grades improving. He then sat the Maths test at the Tutoring Centre which revealed that my son needed to concentrate on that subject, and I have now seen a vast improvement in Aaron's maths results. Ben's confidence has always been quite low and although he was clearly bright, when it came to answering questions in the classroom, he found it a real struggle because of his natural tendency to withdraw. We both felt it was getting worse so decided if he could gain some confidence through one-to-one tuition, not only would his grades improve but so would his self confidence, and we were right. The transformation has been remarkable since attending A-Star Tutoring. Ben is a lot more outgoing and because he is more confident, he is really participating now within the classroom and he has gone into the A-stream at school. Louisa is very keen to get into a particular high school which has an excellent reputation and where there is an entrance exam for all pupils, so for the last two months Louisa has been attending A-Star Tutoring in order to help prepare her for this exam. A-Star Tutoring has really boosted her confidence and she regularly tells us that she has been putting up her hand in class to answer the questions whereas before, she might have known the answer but didn't have the confidence to speak-up. Where A-Star Tutoring has been excellent too, is working on areas that need extra work. For example Louisa mentioned to her tutor at A-Star, that day she had struggled with fractions in her Maths class, and so the whole lesson was focused on that, highlighting innovative ways of being able to calculate the fraction and she came home really happy following her tuition. We not only feel that A-Star has increased her confidence, brought up her grades, but has given her some great exam techniques and we would highly recommend any parent to use A-Star Tutoring.
